Dear Friends and Partners,

Spirit Fire Church and I greet you in Christ Jesus. We continue to encourage you in the Lord. Jesus told His disciples stories about not giving up. He meant for His believers to be courageous then, and He means for you to be courageous today. He wants you to know that He is able to provide whatever it takes for you to continue to follow Him.

The Lord sees your heart. He knows what kind of people you and I are. He is the One Who planted His love inside us. Now we, along with Him, desire that all should be saved. Desire that spectacular ministry which harvests souls for the Lord.

You are full of His abundance. Each of your words and steps are ordered by the Lord. It is His fullness that fills your mouth. It is His words which reveal Himself to those who seek Him. It is His Spirit Who draws the called ones to Himself. You and I are merely a vessel of His fullness and ability.

Love Jesus. Obey His words. Desire to please Him. Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth is along side you. He leads you, guides you, as you do the will of the Father. He takes of what Father God gave to Jesus. He speaks that message to you. You follow His instructions. Jesus said, The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. [Matthew 9:37-39 (NIV)] Then say, Here am I, Lord, send me.

Ephesians 5:8

For at one time you were darkness itself,

but now in union with the Lord you are light itself.

Jesus has made us as He is and clothed us with the glory of Himself. Then shame and humiliation of our old self nature has gone, passed away.

All that we are, or ever will be, is the result of the work in our spirit of His grace. There is no magic formula with its do-it-yourself kit of works whereby we arrive. It is all a sovereign work of God’s grace to the glory of God.

Once we were in darkness. Since that was our nature, we do not change it. The only solution is death. We die out to that nature and are born from above. We have become a new creation in Christ Jesus. We are children of the Light. The Word children here is the Greek teknon and means: ONE BORN. When you are born of the light, then your nature is of the light. Our union with our Lord brings us into oneness with all that HE IS.

Those who are of the night can only speak the language of the night. Those who are of the negative can only speak that which is negative. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. (Matthew 12:24) Those who are of the condemnation order only speak condemnation. The world is in darkness…if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light (or dawn) in them. (Isaiah 8:20) Those who are of the light shall surely speak of the light to the world around them. You are the light of the world. (Matthew 5:14) Jesus wants His followers to influence the moral and spiritual climate of the world.

Here is another depth of meaning for Psalm 118:24. This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. It is true, every morning, seven days a week, we can arise with the knowledge that He is in control of all our days. Our times are in His hand, but there is so much more, for those who are in Union with the Light, are called His day. So we no longer look just to the calendar for an understanding of the times. We look to see what HE IS DOING IN A BELIEVER that is walking in the Light. They will become signs of the times.

Light Be!

The Lord teaches only the truth and it brings the light of Jesus to all who hear it.

Isaiah 51:4 (CEV) The LORD says: You are my people and nation! So pay attention to me. My teaching will cause justice to shine like a light for every nation.

The light of Jesus causes all discord to fall away, both with others and internally in our relationship with the Lord as we are bathed in His righteousness.

1 John 1:7 (NKJV) But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Carefully consider how the darkness seeks to draw you away from the light of Jesus. Guard against opening the door for darkness to come into your relationships with others.

1 John 2:9-11 (NKJV) 9 He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. 10 He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. 11 But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

The light of Jesus is meant to function as a source of glory for our heavenly Father.

Matthew 5:14-16 (NKJV) 14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

We are never lost when we travel in the light of Jesus.

Psalm 119:105 (NKJV) Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

Let Him shine through your every word and deed.

Isaiah 60:1-3 (NKJV) 1 Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. 2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people;       But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. 3 The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.

God commands, Jesus gives, we direct His light into the world glorifying Father and Son through Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians 4:6 (NKJV) For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Galatians 5:18 (NASB)

“But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.”

Dear Friends and Partners,

Have you ever heard the saying; “you ought to act like a Christian,” or “that person doesn’t act like a Christian?” The truth is Christianity is not defined by our activities, but rather a person. A Christian is a person who has Jesus living in them through the Holy Spirit.

As far as our activities or acting like a Christian is concerned, these things are simply the out-working of the life of Jesus in and through us as we abide in Him. Another way of saying this is; “as we allow the Holy Spirit to lead and control us, He is able to carry out His will in, and through us.”

This is Christianity as it should be, however it is not the case for many well meaning believers. If we are honest with ourselves we would have to admit that sometimes we are distracted and walk after the flesh which frustrates us. This is because we have been born of God, and godly sorrow is the proof that these things are not of our character.

Galatians 5:18 tells us; “But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.”  You may be wondering; “why does being led by the Spirit make us free from law?” First of all when we are under the Holy Spirit’s control, God can freely work in and through us and thus carry out His will and purpose.

Law is for those who are not led of the Holy Spirit, and it appeals to their flesh and ability to keep it. First Timothy 1:9-10 tells us; “knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners …”

Law was never intended to make us perfect and right before God. In fact we cannot do what it requires–it was weak because of our inability to keep it. The truth is that we can never have victory over the flesh by way of law (our ability to perform).

Grace, however, is totally dependent upon God’s ability, and only requires our acceptance for Him to work all in us. When we are not led by the Holy Spirit, we are by default under law (which depends upon our effort). This in essence is saying (though in ignorance), “I can do it.” Or it could come across in a spiritual way; “I can do it, God, with Your help,” and thus we decide our own path, and pray that God will bless it.

 Many often make the mistake of grouping everything that appears to be good and right (from our estimation, i.e. not appearing to be evil) as the leading of God. Then who is leading God, or us? It is obvious that it is not God. It doesn’t matter how good the path may appear unless God is leading us it is of the wicked one, and thus our journey will always lead to disappointment.

What God requires only He Himself can fulfill, and He will perform all that is necessary in those who will allow Him. Through Jesus, God has met all the righteous requirement of the law for us, and thus our faith in Him is the end of the law unto righteousness.

Thank God that Jesus did it all for us, and now He does all in us according to His good will and pleasure as we abide in Him.

The love of the Father comes to us through the grace and truth of His Son, Jesus.

For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

The only way to victory is through Jesus; His ability and our faith working together.

Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

We can think we see the right way, but knowing the right way is best. Know HIM and He will lead you in the way you should go.

Never give up. Jesus never did. Walk in His footsteps. They will keep you going in the right direction.

Luke 18:1 (NLT)  One day Jesus told his disciples a story to illustrate their need for constant prayer and to show them that they must never give up.

Desire the spectacular ministry of bringing people to the Lord.

2 Cor. 5:11 (CEV)  We know what it means to respect the Lord, and we encourage everyone to turn to him. God himself knows what we are like, and I hope you also know what kind of people we are.

You have already received all the fullness you will ever need to be a minister for the Lord. Learn to walk in it.

John 1:16 (AMP)  For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift.

Your God, I AM, is over everything -- there is no need to be frightened.

John 6:20 (AMP)  But Jesus said to them, It is I; be not afraid! [I AM; stop being frightened!]

Exodus 3:14 (AMP)  And God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM and WHAT I AM, and I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you!

Jesus is in you and you do not need to be afraid. Holy Spirit takes what Jesus has and uses it for you.  Spirit of Truth makes Jesus real to you. You follow the One you know.

John 16:13-15 (CEV)  13 The Spirit shows what is true and will come and guide you into the full truth. The Spirit doesn't speak on his own. He will tell you only what he has heard from me, and he will let you know what is going to happen. 14 The Spirit will bring glory to me by taking my message and telling it to you. 15 Everything that the Father has is mine. That is why I have said that the Spirit takes my message and tells it to you.

If you love Me, if you really want to please Me, the you will keep my words and I will supply you with whatever you need to do it.

John 14:14-16 (AMP) 14 [Yes] I will grant [I Myself will do for you] whatever you shall ask in My Name [as presenting all that I AM]. 15 If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever--

Day 1

Victory has been born in us.

Day 2

Do the will of God. It shuts up the floodgates of foolish arguments.

1 Peter 2:15 (KJV) For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

Day 3

You were chosen for a special, specific purpose…to bear fruit.

John 15:16 (KJV) You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.

Day 4

The anointing which is in you stirs itself up with the Word. Feed it generously.

2 Timothy 1:6 (KJV) Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

Day 5

Your transformation through yielding to Holy Spirit is proof you are doing the will of God and walking in His way.

Romans 12:2 (KJV) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Day 6

Obedience to the Father is doing His will.

Hebrews 5:8 (KJV) Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

Holy Spirit knows all the things of God. God reveals His secrets through Him.

1 Corinthians 2:9-11 (KJV) 9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Luke 12:42 (KJV)

And the Lord said,

Who then is that faithful and wise steward,

whom his lord shall make ruler over his household,

to give them their portion of meat in due season?

Jesus faced satan from a position of knowing God’s will. We know that God’s will for us is to walk in victory and have the confidence in Him to know that He defeated satan in heaven, in hell, and in the earth. Our ultimate strategy today is to defeat satan in our lives.

We are living in a new day. Something wonderful is happening in the spiritual realm. God desires that we be a part of that. He is raising up a people, sons and daughters, who have one all-consuming goal: TO EARNESTLY DESIRE TO DO HIS WILL.

We are under a commission! We did not choose ourselves, and neither did any man, but God has chosen us. God sent Jesus to earth to do His will, and Jesus has chosen us to continue to carry out that will. John 20:21 says “…as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.” Our first responsibility is to put ourselves in a position of knowing what the will of God is. We do that by stirring up the gifts of God in us.

When we know God’s will, we must then align our lives with Him and live in obedience to His will as Jesus did. Jesus is coming soon for those who are doing His will. The Holy Spirit of God is calling us to prepare…to allow Him to walk with us and talk to us about the things of God. Holy Spirit will reveal the secret things of God to us so we can serve God in righteousness, peace and joy, as a witness to the world.

2 Corinthians 4:16 (Darby Translation)

Wherefore we faint not;

but if indeed our outward man is consumed,

To My Dear Spiritual Children, Friends, and Partners,

As believers we are to be examples of Christ-character. The word Christian means, Christ-like; (Webster’s), to exhibit a spirit proper to a follower of Jesus Christ. Being like Jesus becomes an effortless task when we are totally surrendered to Him. Not our will, but Thine, O’ Lord. What are some ways we can become more like Jesus?

Be Filled Afresh Daily With the Holy Spirit

Seek the Lord daily in private prayer. Read and study His Word daily. Through this daily refreshing we are growing our spirits, renewing our minds, and equipping ourselves for God’s plan, purpose and will for our lives.

Walk in Love/Manifesting the Fruit of the Spirit

If not for love, where would we be? The plan of salvation was divinely devised by Amazing Love. John 15:13 says, Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down His life for His friends. The two greatest commandments include loving God first, with all our spirit, mind and body and to love one another as He has loved us. WoW!

There are too many scripture references to list, but a study on love would be an exciting venture. That’s a challenge to you! 

One can only possess the good fruit of the Spirit if he/she is in covenant with Christ, walking in obedience to the commandments and principles of God while not fulfilling the desires of the flesh/soul.

If we are truly walking the Love Walk, we will be bearing good fruit and others will know who we are. Matthew 7:16 Notice the first fruit of the Spirit listed in Galatians 5:22 is LOVE!

Day 1

Love flows forth from pure hearts.

1 Peter 1:22 (HCSB). . . Love one another earnestly from a pure heart.

Day 2

Selfishness is cast aside because love always prefers the other person.

Romans 12:10 (HCSB) Show affection to one another with brotherly love. Outdo one another in showing honor.

Day 3

Love is expressed by our actions, not merely by our words.

1 John 3:18 (NLV) Let us not love with words only. Let us love by what we do and in truth.

Day 4

God is not only the source of love, He is love, and He lives within us.

I Thessalonians 4:9 (NCV) We do not need to write to you about having love for your Christian family, because God has already taught you to love each other.

Day 5

Walking in God's light assures us of not stumbling and causing problems.

1 John 2:10 (CEV) But if we love others, we are in the light, and we don't cause problems for them.

Day 6

Loving one another is simply loving God in each other.

1 John 4:11 (NLT). . . Since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.

Day 7

Our love for each other demonstrates to the world that we belong to Christ.

John 13:35 (NLT) Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are My disciples.

Luke 18:1 (AMP)

ALSO [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that

they ought always to pray and not to turn coward

(faint, lose heart, and give up).

BECOMING A MIRACLE CHURCH  II

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

 What can you expect from a miracle church? What are we anticipating and expecting every time we gather at Spirit Fire Church ? What do you want to expect in your life today?

 Last week I said that a miracle church is like the one described in Acts. The people saw miracles. The Word of God has not changed. It will do today what it did then. Expect miracles!

A miracle church will contain committed witnesses who are continually bringing in those they have won to Christ during the week.

Acts 2:40 , 41 (Amplified Bible)   And [Peter] solemnly and earnestly witnessed...41 ,and there were added that day about 3,000 souls.

A miracle church will experience the fire of Holy Spirit working as groups of dedicated believers agree on the Word of God in intercessory prayer.

1 Thessalonians 5:11, 16-18 (NIV) Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 16 Be joyful always; 17 pray continually; 18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Acts 2:3-4 (NIV) They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

This is the vision the local church—your church—is called to be:

 There is miracle working power in united word-based prayer. There is miracle working power in testimony and being a living witness daily.

God is bountiful in His gifts.  

James 1:17 (NIV) Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

 Obedience to the Word results in a miracle setting. Do what it says. See it happen!

James 1:21-22 (NIV) Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

  If His words are in us, what are we going to ask for? It will be His words coming out of our mouth, and it will be done. Miracle church!

John 15:7 (NIV) If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. [Ask for the dream, thought, imagination & plan He has placed in you].

  Our cooperation involves being resolute, never giving up in our endeavors for the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIV) Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Jesus is a miracle Lord. Expect His Spirit in you to reveal His glory through His miracle church.

2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (NIV) Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect (or contemplate) the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

The LORD honors His covenant. His work continues today in His people.

Deuteronomy 7:9 (NIV) Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.

  Love--the character of God--reveals His heart for all who trust and receive Him. You can rest in a miracle church, too.

Psalm 91:4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
